1. Delete in the app (preferred)
Note: If you have pets you want to keep under a co-owner’s name, see
“Want to keep a pet under a co-owner’s name?”
below before starting the deletion. After the 30-day grace period, all your pets are deleted along
with your account.
- Open the IAGD app.
- Tap your avatar (top-right) → Account.
- Scroll down to Danger Zone → tap Delete account.
- Re-enter your password to confirm.
- We email you the confirmation. Your account is queued for deletion in 30 days.
If you sign back in within those 30 days, you can cancel the deletion.
2. Delete by email (no app needed)
Send an email to privacy@iagd.pet from the email address on your account.
Subject: Delete my account
Body: (anything — a one-line "please delete my account" is enough)
We action all deletion requests within 30 days, as required by GDPR / UK GDPR. If we cannot verify
the request comes from the account owner (e.g. the sender email doesn’t match), we’ll
reply asking you to verify before proceeding.
3. What gets deleted
- Your account row (name, email, hashed password, profile fields).
- Your member ID is removed from app-activity rows (telemetry).
- All pets and stud records linked to your account, including any uploaded photos, certificates, and stud files.
- Your uploaded photos and documents.
- Your push notification token.
- Your
member_connections rows (Google, Facebook, Lounge linkages).
- Your session keep-alives and personal access tokens.
Want to keep a pet under a co-owner’s name?
Email privacy@iagd.pet
before you delete your account, with:
- The pet’s IAGD number.
- The full name of the co-owner who should keep it.
We’ll process the transfer manually within 30 days. After the transfer is in place, when you
delete your account, the transferred pet stays with the co-owner.
If you’ve already scheduled deletion, you can still email us during the 30-day grace period
— replying to your deletion-confirmation email is fine. We’ll process the transfer
before the hard-delete runs.
4. What is NOT deleted

Aggregate counts in our analytics tables (e.g. “how many users were active each day”).
These rows contain no personal data — just counts — and are explicitly listed as kept
indefinitely in our Privacy Policy section 6.

Logs required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes — kept only for as long as the
relevant retention period requires, then deleted. Currently this means failed login attempts
(90 days), and compliance records (e.g. for breeders we have to keep registry submissions on
file under Philippine animal-trade rules).
5. Timing

0–30 days after request: account is “soft-deleted”. You can
sign back in during this window to cancel the deletion (in-app path only — email path
cancellations require a follow-up email).

30 days after request: hard-delete runs nightly. Your account row and the data
listed in Section 3 are permanently removed. There is no recovery after this point.

Email confirmations: we email when the deletion is queued (day 0) and again
when the hard-delete completes (day 30+).
